Who was Edward Feild?

Our school is named after Edward Feild who, as curate of St Mary's Church in Kidlington, founded the first Kidlington village school in 1828. He later became Bishop of Newfoundland and Bermuda, regularly sailing the 1500 miles between them and also venturing across the Atlantic to England quite often!

From time to time we exchange emails and greetings with our sister school Bishop Feild School in St. John's, Newfoundland.
