Forest School
Forest School is our child-led, nature-based educational approach where children engage in regular, long-term sessions in a woodland or natural environment. It uses the outdoors as a classroom to build confidence, self-esteem, and independence through hands-on learning, problem-solving, and supported risk-taking in a safe, familiar setting. Activities are adaptable to the seasons and children choose how to engage, fostering a deeper connection with the natural world. We have two Forest School Trained leaders on staff who run sessions equivalent to once a fortnight for all children in Reception - Year 2. We also run a session for a group of selected children in Key Stage 2. We have two sites that are set up to be used for different activities.
